A plain description of what WY.GONE actually stores, in the order a visit happens.

When you arrive, with no account

A device token is set as a cookie in your browser — a random value, not tied to your name or any personal detail. It's how WY.GONE recognizes your device on a later visit. Your WY's history (arrival time, absences, returns) is stored against that token, not against you personally.

If you protect a WY with an email

Using "Save my WY" sends a one-time confirmation link to the email you provide, so you can find the same WY from another device later. That email is stored only to make that recovery possible — it is not used for marketing, not shared with third parties, and not shown publicly anywhere on the site.

Standard server logs

Like effectively every website, the web server that runs WY.GONE keeps standard access logs (IP address, request time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting purposes. These are operational logs, not something the site's features read from or display.

What is never collected

No advertising trackers. No third-party analytics scripts. No selling or sharing of data with advertisers. No password is ever requested from a visitor — only an optional email for WY recovery.

Cookies used

A device-identity cookie (to recognize your WY), and, only if you use the admin area, a separate admin session cookie. Both are functional, not tracking/advertising cookies.
