WY.GONE

A WY's history is its provenance — recorded once, changed by no one.

Provenance in traditional art means being able to trace a work back through everyone who's held it. A WY has no owners to trace through hands — instead, its entire provenance is the sequence of real events that shaped it.

What gets recorded

Arrival. Genuine returns, with the absence they followed. Whether a return came early or after a long gap. Nothing about a refresh, a closed tab, or a page left open overnight is ever recorded as an event — only real, time-separated visits count.

Anonymous by default

A WY starts with no personal information attached at all — it lives on your device via a private token, not tied to a name or account. You can optionally protect a WY with an email address if you want to recognize it from a different device later; that email is used for exactly that, and never for anything else.

Permanent, not editable

Once an event is recorded, it stays. There's no way — for you, or for us — to go back and rewrite a WY's history. That permanence is what makes the provenance real: the work's current form is provably a consequence of what actually happened to it, not a story added afterward.
